Pocket-sized EKG is hailed as "exciting advance in cardiac post-operative care" by VNA

Providence, RI - Bay Computer Associates, a Providence-based electronics and software design firm, designed the electronics for the new ActiveECG cardiac monitor. Produced by Active Corporation, the ActiveECG has been used in a trial study by the VNA Home Health Systems, based in Orange County, CA. VNAHHS CEO Jeneane Brian states, "The pocket-sized EKG is an excellent use of technology that helps our nurses serve our patients better."

Dave Durfee, President of Bay Computer Associates, Inc., states, "We have developed many products over the last 12 years. It's exciting to be involved in this particular device because of its potential to help so many people."

Jeffrey Siegel, President of Active Corporation, has high praises for the electronics designed by BCA. "I came across 50 companies on the Internet when I was looking for electronics design assistance for ActiveECG. As I narrowed down the field, it was clear that Bay Computer Associates knew what they were talking about. BCA was able to convert my unique idea into a product that outperformed the competition."

Bay Computer Associates is a custom business software and electronics design firm. "Whether the solution involves electronics to sense small electrical signals, like the ActiveECG, or displaying data on a PDA, PC, or over the web, BCA has the expertise to solve difficult technical problems", says Durfee.
