Bio-Detek's CPR Coach Part of Statewide Education Campaign

October 22, 2008

Bio-Detek, Inc., a Pawtucket, RI-based wholly owned subsidiary of ZOLL Medical Corporation, recently announced that their hand-held, pocket-sized CPR Coach will be used in an Arizona statewide campaign to teach 6th through 12th graders how to perform proper CPR chest compressions in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest.

The device fits under the rescuer's hand and measures the depth of the chest compressions. It provides audio and visual feedback to coach the rescuer to perform continuous compressions at the proper depth and speed, and when to give breaths.

The CPR Coach is part of an over-all training package that will be sent to approximately 1800 schools in Arizona.
