John R. Wicks, PhD Joins the Design Team at BCA

With the hiring of John R. Wicks, PhD, BCA continues to offer a unique blend of research and experience.

Mr. Wicks brings a wealth of mathematical and computing abilities to the design team at BCA. His unique blend of research and experience bridges the gap between high-level mathematics and low-level programming. In addition to his fluency with MATLAB and Mathematica-based tools, John has experience programming in Java, C, and C++ on Macs, PCs, and Linux systems.

Formerly, Mr. Wicks was a Professor of Mathematics at North Park University, where he authored a book on an interactive laboratory approach to linear algebra. He also served as Adjunct Instructor at the University of Rhode Island and most recently, as a Research Associate in the Department of Computer Science at Brown University where he co-authored several referreed conference proceedings on artificial intelligence and multiagent learning.
